  • Make a photocopy of these also and keep it apart from the originals
  • Photo ID
  • Vaccination booklet with updated stamps
  • Plane tickets (printed and electronic)
  • Hotel booking confirmation
  • Car rental confirmation
  • Tickets (bus, train, cruise, excursions and attractions)
  • Money
  • Credit cards (1-2)
  • ATM or Debit Card
  • Prescription medications (bring a few days extra in case of delays)
  • Eye drops (if flying, packed in zip lock bag)
  • Glasses and/or Contacts (a spare pair in case of loss or breakage)
  • Sunglasses
  • Basic toiletries: tooth brush, tooth paste, deodorant, lotion (if flying, TSA approved sizes packed in zip lock bag)
  • Eye mask (helps to sleep better on long or night flights)
  • Earplugs (great for blocking unwanted noises during flights)
  • Travel books/ Travel related information
  • Reading material
  • A change of clothes (in case of lost or delayed luggage)
  • A bathing suit (hotel pool, spa)
  • A sweater or pashmina shawl

Personal Care (travel sizes)

  • Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, etc.
  • Make-up (optional)
  • Razor/ Shaver
  • Hairdryer/ Flat iron (optional)
  • Sunscreen (broad spectrum, SPF 15 or higher)
  • Insect repellent (if flying, TSA approved size packed in ziplock bag, pack in carry-on)
  • Anti-bacterial gel/ Wet wipe (pack in carry-on)
  • Facial tissue (3-4 small packs)

Emergency First Aid Kit

  • Antibiotic ointment (Polysporin, Neosporin)
  • Cortisone cream
  • Band-Aids* (regular and waterproof)
  • Eye drops
  • Moleskin (helps to avoid blisters)
  • Pain relievers (Advil, Tylenol, Aspirin)
  • Antihistamine (Benadryl, Claritin)
  • Motion sickness medication (Dramamine, Gravol)
  • Antacid tablets (Tums, Rolaids, Pepto-Bismol)
  • Anti-diarrhea medication (Imodium, Pepto-Bismol)
  • Anti-itch cream for insect bites (After Bite, Benadryl)
  • Cold medicine
  • Tweezers
  • Manicure size scissors (only in checked luggage)

Fit everything in a small pouch and bring only enough for immediate usage. If more is needed, most of these items can be found at local pharmacies.
